This was the first time (2007) that the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) sponsored an international conference. This prestigious organization partnered with the Australian Council for Educational Leadership (ACEL) to bring together some of the most inspiring and creative educational thinkers in education to explore rethinking the purpose of education and the institutions and frameworks that guide then. Their 2007 International Conference was entitled “New Imagery for Schools and Schooling: Challenging, Creating and Connecting”.
Under the conference strand “Having the Courage to See Freshly”, our consultant Rob Siegel had the privilege to present the topic “Education for Transition Towards a Global Society: A Fresh Look at K-8 Social Science.” If you would like a copy of the presentation, click on this link.
